I've got to admit, the amount of time he kisses his mother on the lips and the things he says to her made me uncomfortable. It's a cultural discomfort. I guess it was normal in the 20s, or is this a case of Oedipus complex? Also I couldn't wait for the Cantor to die. That man was the fucking devil.

My first experience with live theater and "Oklahoma" was when I was in the 5th or 6th grade?  Then, I saw the movie with Gordon MacRae and Shirley Jones.  My Mom's family was from Oklahoma and I visited there many times growing up...where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain!  I love Oklahoma!
