"Fairy Lights" by Margaret Tarrant (1888-1959). Margaret was born in Battersea, a suburb of south London. She studied at the Clapman School of Art and later at the Guildford School of Art. She was an established illustrator and a close friend of Cicely Mary Baker. The two women influenced each others work and shared many of the same interests. Margaret, like Cicely, was known for her wonderful fairy images.
