The sea front is to the right and the hill directly ahead is Ramshill Road that leads up to the South Cliff. The large white building is the Esplanade Boarding Establishment. I would date the photograph at circa 1905. This image is a low resolution version of the original negative, captured photographically rather than with a scanner.
