Moore County Civil War Monument (Lynchburg, Tennessee) sits outside the Moore County Courthouse. On summer afternoons while we were waiting for mom to take a break to run us to the pool, we would crawl around on this monument. It felt so good when I was able to pull myself onto the top by myself. I wonder if that is why they planted the greenery around it... to keep little whipersnappers from climbing on it...
