An Illustrated Guide to 30 Cocktails

Tales of the Cocktail kicks off today, and although I couldn't be there in person (I sadly had a work conflict), I feel like I'm still there in spirit! And this handy dandy illustrated guide to 30 cocktails, from Food Republic , will certainly help us mix up something to drink away the sadness of missing this epic event.  Covering pretty much every classic you should have under your belt (and more), this list is as educational as it is lovely to look at! Enjoy! Illustration by Mike…

Wrought Iron Garden Mirror Gate

While this may not look like much to the naked eye, it is actually a long mirror attached to a wall in which an applied lead design is made to resemble a wrought iron gate. What you see in the mirror is a reflection of the garden IN FRONT of the mirror, not a gate, in which you are looking through to see the garden. I have always wanted to do this.

Disciplinary Chart! Mine would look different but I like this idea! We have a chart right now that I do on poster board and use stickers with happy or sad faces. This would save so much money in the long run and it looks better too!

Natural hand tied bouquet. I like the wild looking shape of this bouquet. Would want it bigger and with more roses for me. Perhaps lavender to add in some dark purple. Like the daisies.

Want to create the perfect werewolf scratches? Check out this look from the Marina Ijichi from the Bury Benefit counter "Werewolf scratch" - Apply a thick coat of dare me lipstick onto the area with an angled brush. Then using the same type brush line it, just inside the shape, with the quick look busy shadow and blend it inwards. This helps give it a more raw flesh colour and gives it more depth. Finally use a concealer brush and boing concealer and sharpen and tidy up around the shape. xx
