Stuhr was thrilled to receive a sponsorship check from the Union Pacific Railroad for our "Tracks Through Hall County" exhibit yesterday afternoon. The exhibit, which runs through Aug. 28, celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Union Pacific in Hall County.

You learn about history, because you walk away with a personal understanding of what our past entailed and how you would respond." Railroad Town opens tomorrow.

Nobody does the 4th of July like Stuhr Museum. Our 1890's Independence Day celebration will be here before you know it, so make plans to come out. There will be an anvil firing at noon, a parade through Railroad Town, speeches, live music, pie eating contests and more.

The Senshu Academy, a prestigious educational institution in Japan, brought more than 200 students out to Stuhr Museum this afternoon for a quick visit. The students alternated between Railroad Town and the Stuhr Building and the museum is honored to have them. More photos are up at www.stuhrmuseum.org.

Back to School in Railroad Town returns to Stuhr Museum Saturday and Sunday. Kids can experience school life in the 1890s with etiquette, recess and more. It's a great weekend trip before school starts for real. More info is available at stuhrmuseum.org.
