Angel Bringing light to dark places. Snow at night can be quite magical. It was originally painted for the "Yuletide Magic" set of Yule cards published by Eastgate Resource. Also now on tiles by Nemesis Now and used in various calendars featuring my art. Artwork © Anne Stokes. Available for license.

Artist: Basquiat -  Jean Micheal was so effortlessly cool, from his dreadlock bunches to the way he befriended Andy Warhol like it was nothing. Jean Micheal had a drive for success that we aspire to have. We love how  he didn’t care that what he was doing was so radical and different, he just did it. Our favourite painting of his would probably be Untitled (Fallen Angel) from 1981.

Casa de Julia Tarafa: Havana’s love affair with art deco blossomed at a time of commercial promise: Cuba had grown rich on the back of the sugar trade – especially during the first world war. Art deco flourished in South Beach and Miami Beach, pastel colours and whimsical motifs were introduced, creating a 'tropical deco' look. This private house was designed by architect Angel de Zárraga in 1933.

Art deco flourished in South Beach and Miami Beach, pastel colours and whimsical motifs were introduced, creating a 'tropical deco' look. This private house was designed by architect Angel de Zárraga in 1933.
