This is a transverse cut of the thigh ( fat, muscle, bone) of a 40 year old athlete a 70 year old sedendary man and a 70 year old athlete, notice the difference in muscle and surrounding fat.    It is NEVER too late to start if you are still alive! you are never too old! just get out of your comfort zone and exercise! you will be glad you did!!! I WANT TO BE OLD AND FIT!!!
