Day 12: 白川郷 (Shirakawa-go) in 岐阜県  Another location that we learned about online and knew we needed to visit.  One of only 3 villages of its kind remaining and a UNESCO World Heritage site.  We toured Shirakawa-go and stayed the night in one of the other villages.
