I live right by here. The heart of common Beijing–if you haven't eaten here, you haven't eaten in Beijing. Midafternoon the baskets of crayfish from Tianjin arrive: delivered to restaurants that specialize in "hot and spicy crayfish." A few always get away and local grannies keep an eye out to grab them as they crawl down the sidewalk in their fruitless search for water. My aunt had something similar to this in a previous home. She had lots of grand kids and actually converted a large closet into bunk beds so they all had beds to sleep in. The kids actually fought over who got to sleep there!
