The Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is a basilica set along the Saint Lawrence River in Quebec, Canada, 30 kilometres (19 miles) east of Quebec City. It has been credited by the Roman Catholic Church with many miracles of curing the sick and disabled. It is an important Catholic sanctuary which receives about a half-million pilgrims each year.

Trois-Rivières (Three Rivers) is a city situated on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in the Mauricie region of Québec, Canada. Jacques Cartier arrived here in 1535. Missionaries were present here from 1617, that is to say, before the foundation of the city. In 1697, the first school was founded by the Ursulines, & finally in 1969, the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières was opened.
