Pollen on a miner bee. Miner bees (or chimney bees) are one of many familiar black and yellow summertime bees often mistaken for bumble bees. They are garden pollinators and serve an increasingly important role as honey bee populations decline.
Dandelion sparkles Harold Davis - The colors in this picture are really remarkable. I’m not completely sure it is a dandelion, although the photographer says it is. I like to take pictures of dandelions myself, but have never seen the dew so thick!
