A Viking Age colour palette + bit of info on the dyes. And here's a text only page with a great list of dyes definitely and probably used: http://www.cs.vassar.edu/~capriest/vikdyes.html And some local colour variations, eg purple in Ireland. So I've an excuse to use my favourite colour :-)

Viking cart - we saw a cart like this in the Bygdoy viking museum! In Norway.

Viking cart I have stood beside this and filmed this beautiful carved cart. This picture doesn't not pick up the beauty and detail of the ancient Viking cart at the Viking Museum in Oslo.

Rear View. The cart has splendid carvings with pagan motifs. It is the oldest known vessel with wheels in Norway.

Replica of the Oseberg Wagon, by Piotr Rzeźbiarz. I wonder if the original one was used to transport the deceased women to their final resting place, in the grave ship?
