198- ROMAN TOWN PLANNING, Pompeii: Temple of Jupiter, Forum of Pompeii, c. 150 BC. It is located at the end of the Forum. The Temple of Jupiter was an important building of the Forum. The Temple was built before the Sulla took over the city. In 80 BC the Cella was renovated into three spaces for the Statues. The plan is similar to the Temple of Portunus in Rome which was the characteristic of an Etruscan temple design with Greek elevation. The stone (tufa) is used for to build the temple.

68- Amphitheatre of Pompeii- 70 BC. It is an important building in the history of Roman architecture. The design of colossium is based on this amphitheatre. It is made of stone, a row of blind arcades shape The exterior wall of the amphitheatre, which made of concrete, faced with the opus Incertum work. The staircase of the amphitheatre was built on a series of arches. This is a unique stair case and there is not any other staircase like these in the history of Roman architecture.
