Sasanian Empire - Rock Reliefs in Tang-e Chowgan Gorge, Bishapur The third relief at Bishapur's Tang-e Chowgan has five horizontal registers. Like reliefs one and two, it was made by the Sasanian king Shapur I Iran.
Future trip/ Comeback tour ~ Persepolis, Iran Would love to check out the legacy of Persia (present day Iran) - ancient culture (tick), the throne of Solomon (tick) and the city of Persepolis (tick), probably great food too
Persepolis (Old-Persian: Pārśapura) was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire (ca. 550–330 BC). Persepolis is situated 70 km northeast of the modern city of Shiraz in the Fars Province of modern Iran. The earliest remains of Persepolis date from around 515 BCE.
