Queen & David Bowie - Under Pressure; a 1981 song originally recorded by Queen and David Bowie, and later included on Queen's 1982 album Hot Space. The song reached #1 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the group's 2nd #1 hit in their native country (after 1975's "Bohemian Rhapsody", which topped the chart for 9 weeks). It was also #31 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of the '80s.
This week March in 1957 Patsy Cline's new single 'Walkin' After Midnight' was near the top of the Pop and Country charts. Patsy had appeared end of Jan that same year on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts TV show. The applause meter went off the charts despite it appeared to be having technical problems that night when she sang this song - it sent her record company right to the presses to get the single out for sale.
