This is truly inspirational, the lovely Joy Johnson. “I’ll be at the back of the pack, but I don’t mind.” Joy Johnson, 86, ran 3 marathons a year, always with a bow in her hair. She started running at the age of 59, and by her mid-80s she had completed the NYC Marathon 25 consecutive times. She stuck to a daily routine of 4am workouts, which she loved. She completed her final marathon in November 2013, peacefully passing away in her sleep the next day.
The arpartment complex where I spent most of my childhood, we had so many ginko trees that made the whole street yellow in Autumn every year. This photo just reminds me the mood I enjoyed. Miss it..... Gingko trees in Autumn. Deoksu Palace (Seoul).
