Vindolanda Roman remains of Vindolanda, a fort constructed for the support of the fortification that is/was Hadrian's Wall. Still being excavated, and will be for some considerable time. Fascinating place, with a great museum of finds from the site, including wooden tablets (the roman form of postcards).
Beachy Head is a chalk headland in Southern England, East Sussex, just east of the Seven Sisters. Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters are often mistaken for the White Cliffs of Dover, which face toward France.
