Mosaics of Roman Britain: Cupid astride a dolphin. Fishbourne Roman Palace, Sussex. Situated near Chichester, the luxurious establishment at Fishbourne went through several phases of construction. This floor was laid in the early 3rd century and the panel, with a centrepiece of a cupid and dolphin, measures approximately 17 ft by 17 ft.
