We had the tin box outside our front door and the milkman would deliver these icy cold bottles of fresh milk.

Every morning the milkman would collect the empty milk bottle, with a plastic orange coupon, by our front door and replace it with a full bottle of fresh milk and there were purple coupons for Orange juice, also in glass bottles

Bill and Ben, the Flowerpot Men, were first seen on BBC TV, along with Little Weed on 18 December 1952. The characters were originally part of a BBC series called Watch with Mother. The Flower Pot Men (who had clay-pot bodies and straw hats) was the story of two little men made of flower pots who lived at the bottom of an English suburban garden.
