Welcome to Art Room 104! Well, I no longer teach in room 104...it's now room 309, but the heart is still there! I have now transitioned into teaching 7th-12th grades, and my focus is now moving towards Choice Based Learning in the art room. Join me on my journey as I enter new territory, experiment, and share how I fit it all into the realm of Common Core!
Positive+Negativesimple exercise that uses positive and negative shapes and lines. 1. Students start with a 6″ x 9″ sheet of white drawing paper, and a 4.5″ x 4.5″ sheet of black paper. 2. They place a 3.5″ x 3.5″ cardboard template on the black paper, centered on the top edge, and trace. The inside black square is cut and flipped up, and the two black pieces are glued to the white paper as shown.
BRILLIANT! Paint pages, make it easy to say yes to painting, take them when you travel, hikes or picnics! All you need is some watercolor paper and small squirt of watercolor paint (don't need much water color paint goes a long way plus it won't stain clothes, pretty much washes out of most everything). allow a few days to dry. Then when you are ready to paint just add water.
