Student members of the York High School National Honor Society took part in spring cleaning at the York Area Senior Center. They also cleaned and sorted donations for the Living Water Rescue Mission.

As part of both ServeNebraska Week and Global Youth Service Day, over 50 student volunteers from St. Mary's Elementary School in Ord, NE added landscaping outside Gorak Hall and cleaned a walking trail around the city's Auble's Pond.

Pius X High School

The Pius X High School Trap Club sponsored a Cancer Awareness Day in conjunction with their conference Trap Shoot. A local business donated "Shoot for a Cure" shirts for the shooters and donations were collected and given to the American Cancer Society for Cancer Research.

The Medicine Valley FCCLA in Curtis, NE donated items to the Grand Island Veterans Home.

People's City Mission

Members of the Fantastic 4 4-H Club hosted a May Day Celebration at the People's City Mission in Lincoln, NE. The celebration was for elementary school age girls. The kids celebrated with traditional dances, group activities, arts and crafts, healthy snacks, and a May Day basket.

National Honor Society members from Louisville High School volunteer at the 7th annual Outdoor Education event involving over 1,000 4th and 5th graders at the Platte River State Park.

Holdrege, NE

The Nebraska Walleye Association Kids Fishing Clinic Charity had quite the ServeNebraska Week! 24 youth (pictured) were taught fishing techniques at the Holdrege Kids Fishing Clinic. A few days later, approximately 650 children attended Healthy Kids Day at the Cooper YMCA in Lincoln where they were shown different types of bait fishing techniques.
