So true.... each new encounter I have had with a religion or religious leader of a congregation usually, almost always, introduces the subject of donations, contributions, or tithing in the first or second encounter.
designyourvictory: The Legend of Korra really succeeds in providing antagonists with believable, legitimate motivations, resulting in compelling characters rather than villains who act “because: evil.”
Megatron: *sigh* why do I have a feeling that the bot in the left corner is Starscream?<<AND I JUST REALIZED. IT IS. THAT IS STARSCREAM (he's got the strange tall vent things on either side of his head, and despite the light, I'm pretty sure the bot's hands are blue...)
Games like XCOM: Enemy Unknown are favorites of mine not just for their strategic components but for the colorful yet artistic and decidedly intimidating designs of the aliens. The Elder aliens - Ethereals - are perhaps the most, their smooth helmets being almost Giger-esque and their robed bodies seeming almost like mummified wraiths.
