Cenote Xbatún. This uncrowded place is a classic Yucatán cenote. Glassy water melts lazily from blue to green as the clouds shift. Vines and roots reach down for a drink from their dry perch at the top of the ravine. Birds, bats and a few bees buzz safely overhead. Local kids giggle and splash around, casually daring you to join them in the cool, fresh-water pool.
