Victorian 42nd Royal Highland Regt of Foot [The Black Watch] Gengarry Badge on a silk bordered wool Glengarry. Silver back star with gilt overlay crown, thistles motto and sphinx, with separate silver numerals 42. 1875-1881.

ROYAL ABERDEENSHIRE MILITIA VICTORIAN GLENGARRY BADGE pre-1881. Nice example of this scarce badge. Die struck. Victorian crown . Thistle over a Saltire to the centre. 2 lugs. No rubbing to high points. Later became part of the Gordon Highlanders.

Comprising a thin blackened brass Crowned strap inscribed 'Erin go Bragh, Carlow Rifles' resting on a shamrock spray; to the centre, the Maid of Erin Harp on a lined ground. Raised 1793 at Carlow, became 8th Bn. KRRC on Friday 1st July 1881.
