Hampton Palace A niceshot of the hammer beam roof of the great hall. Installed by King Henry VIII when he took owmership of the palace. Originally this ceiling would have been brightly painted. The inside of the great hall itself is 100 feet long, 40 feet wide and 60 feet high (if my memory serves) and is home to 6 of the famous Abraham Tapestries which are woven with gold and silver thread, and were commissioned for this hall.
