Wilkinson Bros BMW R75/6

BMW airheads respond well to the cafe racer treatment. But you don’t often see one with a mono-shock conversion. This 1976 BMW (above) is owned by graphic designer Casey Wilkinson of the motorcycle-mad Wilkinson Brothers.


It’s getting harder and harder to impress with a Honda CB custom these days. But this very sharp 1974 from the Kentucky shop M Customs, proves there’s still life in the old dog.

Forge the rest of the bike, the dark grey monochrome treatment of the engine and tranny is similar to what I want to do to my 1983 Airhead. Except I want to polish (or satin brushed) the edges of the fins on the cylinders.
