bufala negra recipe1 1/2 oz. bourbon 4 fresh basil leaves 1 brown sugar cube 1/2 oz. balsamic syrup (see below) 2 oz. ginger beer Tools: muddler, shaker, strainer Glass: Old Fashioned Garnish: fresh basil leaf  Muddle the balsamic syrup, basil and sugar cube in a mixing tin. Add bourbon and ice and shake hard. Strain over fresh ice cubes into an Old Fashioned. Top with ginger beer and garnish with basil leaf.  Balsamic Syrup: Combine 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar and 1/4 cup of simple syrup

Mix it Up with Beer Cocktails

Crisp and refreshing or earthy and flavorful, it’s no wonder that beer has been a mainstay of summer cookouts and parties. In recent years beer has experienced resurgence in popularity, thanks to new craft beers and innovative cocktail recipes.

"Dominicana" recipe. 1 ounce heavy cream; 1/4 ounce Simple Syrup; 1 1/2 ounces añejo rum; 1 1/2 ounces coffee liqueur; ice. In a cocktail shaker, combine the cream, simple syrup and 1 ice cube. Shake well to aerate the cream and melt the ice.  Fill a pint glass with ice. Add the rum and liqueur; stir well. Strain into a chilled coupe. Spoon the whipped cream on top.
