Roy Boehm,..Known as the father of the Navy SEALs. Roy fought and served in WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. As a diver Roy also provided support to Brigade 2506 during the Bay of Pigs Invasion until JFK cancelled all support to the mission. Roy actually had a list of criticisms of JFK over his handling of the Bay of Pigs. These criticisms helped JFK see the benefit in Roy and ordered him to create a special fighting unit which became the Navy SEALs.

On April 1400 Cuban exiles launched what became a botched invasion at the Bay of Pigs on the south coast of Cuba.

The Dakota's doorman, ex-CIA Agent Jose Sanjenis Perdomo, was an anti-Castro Cuban exile and worked closely with convicted Watergate burglar and known CIA agent, Frank Sturgis, who trained Cuban exiles in preparation for the Bay of Pigs operation in 1961, and was also cited in connection with the JFK assassination (HP)
