Honeymoon destination of the week: Berggastaus Aescher-Wildkirchli in eastern Switzerland. Accessible only by cable car and hike, this 210-year-old storybook guesthouse and restaurant sits at the northernmost summit of the Appenzell Alps, built into the rocky cliffside. Although the accommodations are spartan, the rooms offer spectacular views, and the eatery is a great spot for savoring local dishes, such as cervat and Appenzeller cheese salad. The round pupil in a lizard is generally better adapted for diurnal species whereas slit pupils are found in nocturnal species. Most lizards can see in color and some have opsin proteins which allow them to see in ultraviolet wavelengths that the human eye cannot perceive.
