The Thirteenth Amendment was ratified on December 6, 1865. The amendment abolished slavery in all U.S. territory or any area subject to U.S. jurisdiction. It gave Congress the right to make laws so as to enforce the abolishing of slavery.
White privilege is so prevalent in our society today. Many white people may feel entitled to their privilege because they have been "discriminated" against a couple times in their life, when that discrimination is what minorities feel everyday.
