Detroit Packard plant. I can't believe we used to have huge raves with thousands of folks trippin and dancing all night till the sun came up. lucky it didn't colapse on us, i fell through the floor one time into the basement...my friends had to save me, we didnt realize it but the place is full of aspestose, after 8 hours of dancing we be pulling dirty buggers out of our nose for days...kg
EASTOWN THEATRE, DETROIT: The 2,500-seat theatre designed by V.J. Waier & Company and opened in 1930 operated as a cinema until the mid-1960s. From 1969 to the early 1970s it was a famous concert venue, where the Doors, Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead and Alice Cooper played, among others. Later the building was used as a jazz venue, an adult film theatre (called the Showcase), a rave party venue, and a church.
