Something so special about this. This will undoubtedly stick in my mind as one of my all-time favourite photos.

Cheddar Gorge, Cheddar. Britain's biggest gorge from the dramatic cliffs rising 450ft to the stunning stalactite caverns. This world-famous beauty spot is a National Nature Reserve, reveals many fascinating stories of our prehistoric ancestors, and is an international centre for caving and rock climbing.

Snowdonia National Park

Snowdonia is an awesome national park. There is simply no other way to describe the stunning 360-degree views of the mountains, valleys and coast below. On a clear day, visitors can even see Ireland. Located along the coast of Wales, Snowdonia is home to Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales and England, and the largest lake in Wales. It is the third largest national park in the United Kingdom.

The Wonderful lake, mid-photo is Blue Lake, and to its left, equally famous Green Lake, the site of the "Buried Village", which was smothered in volcanic ash, burying a small Maori village, Te Wairoa. Mount Tawarewa exploded in 1886, killing 120 people in that village. Immediately behind the Green Lake, and in the image the mountain with no top and no vegetation, is Mt Tawarewa. Bill…
