Hand-carved 3-leg Rendile headrest , Kenya . An interesting headrest ( or low stool ) made by the Rendile people. If you hold it upright you can see how it was part of a tree branch or small tree trunk. The Rendille people are nomadic and have to move constantly , preventing them from making large and heavy artifacts . Dimensions : Length 10 inches. Height 5 inches. Patina attesting to age and extensive use.
