Sketchbook refrence work, a page looking into botanical illustration from over the years. I have used a cross section of media including watercolour and fineliner. Using different paper to work on has also been an essential part of these pages as I have experimented on working on sugar paper, newspaper and others. Sea Urchin shells. I didn't know where to pin this. I love the look of these shells, you could probably just frame them as a print or get someone to print it on cotton, cover with vinyl and use as a tablecloth?

Don't ask me why. but peeling paint mesmerizes the shit outta me.

This image reminds me of something you would look at under a microscope such as cells or organisms. It is such a simple image yet it seems to hold a lot of detail. I think this topic could be a great starting point for a project. This image could create such a great abstract pattern. The monochrome colours give it a very modern feel but it still maintains its natural element.
