Of Paper Dolls and Cute Rabbits

I had LOTS of those. I feel old. Lol. I even had a book full of paper doll clothes that I remember pressuring my mum to buy.

We have recently sorted our provision in the water tray to ensure a focus on #finemotorskills primary over than #grossmotorskills, so we enhanced the water tray by adding a washing line. There was barely space to wash the clothes in the end as everyone wanted to join in. As well as wringing the clothes of water and in turn developing gross motor skills they also developed their fine motor skills by squeezing open the pegs! Also lots of fun!

Coat and bonnet

This matching coat and bonnet set was made by Minimode in the early 1960s. It was worn by a girl called Karen when she was about three years old. Minimode produced good quality and stylish clothing for children from around the late 1950s. This set was bought by Karen's mother in a childrenswear shop in Harrow, England in 1961.

Spitalfields Nippers - Taken by Horace Warner in 1912 in Spitalfields England, these images of poverty stricken children show the horrible existences they had to endure just to survive.
