One of the most famous Sapphire rings must be Lady Diana's Sapphire and Diamond cluster. 12ct of Sapphire surrounded by 14 Diamonds set in 18ct white gold, created by Garrard around 1980. In 2010 Prince William passed the ring to Catherine Middleton, now the Duchess of Cambridge, who wears it today.
