Explore Letters and more!

a fun relay race. Each team had to spell out a word, in order, using letters that were attached to the balloons. Once a player found the letter they needed, they would remove it from the balloon and return it to me (I would place it on the board for all to see). Some of the balloons had blanks or silly pictures to make it a bit harder. Once the relay was done, each of the kids got to choose a balloon to take home with them.

Freebie ~ Create Word Cloud Art with Tagxedo

make your own word art - made my daughter's name in a heart shape. Now I just need to frame it!

Made my own blending line for my reception class today... They were very intrigued and hopefully it will encourage them to think about the sounds that make up words :)

Can have the students go out and find objects that look like the letters in their names, or spelling words, or even math shapes....wheels turning....
