Date: circa Location: Third and Fremont, Las Vegas, Nevada Source: Michael McQ What do you see here?

MGM Grand fire, November 21, 1980. 85 people were killed in the tragedy, which remains Nevada’s worst disaster and one of the worst hotel fires in US history. Although Las Vegas is famous for expansive remodeling, reconstruction and hotel implosions, this hotel was reopened, renamed Bally’s in 1986, and still stands over 30 years later.
