Alnwick, Northumberland - Brizlee Tower. Set atop a hill in Hulne Park, the tower was erected in 1781. A 26-metre-high elaborately ornamental tower in dressed stone was commissioned in about 1777 to commemorate the Duke's wife Lady Elizabeth Seymour, who died in 1776. Completed in 1781.
Glamis Castle | Glamis must the the most famous haunted castle in Scotland. The family chapel and the Clock Tower are haunted by Lady Janet Douglas who was burnt at the stake in 1537 for plotting to poison King Henry VIII. It is also haunted by a woman who had her tongue cut out. She is seen running through the park pointing to her mutilated face. And Alexander, Earl Crawford is said to wander around the castle. Children sleeping in the castle have woken to find him leaning over them.
