Explore Wood, Children and more!

The perfect companions for any little one, our friendly pull toy and rocking mammoth are crafted from wood, with a super soft grey furry finish. Providing hours of fun, they will also make a beautiful decorative addition to a nursery or playroom.  Padded for extra cuddliness, their sweet faces are framed with a shaggy fringe.

In the small garden areas of this Paignton early years centre we made spaces for children to climb, play with sand and water and engage in imaginative role play.

Water wall Love this. Also like the idea of something that is changeable.more flexible. But using wood is appealing and the water stays against the "wall" so it has the thrill of movement w/o getting children very wet. That's appealing.

Make a story map of Goldilocks & the 3 Bears – draw a path down the middle of a large piece of paper. Write ‘Once upon a time’ at one end & ‘The End’ at the other. Then retell the story with the children & add basic drawings along the sides of the path (e.g. 3 bears/a girl/3 bowls etc) - take turns walking down the path & retelling the story (“,)

"The book that made me fall in love with books... "The Enchanted wood" by Enid Blyton I was gripped from the moment my mum began to read it to my brother and I and I'm now enjoying reading it to my own two for the first time. I love watching their faces as they hear about the adventures of all the different characters and I truly hope that it sparks a great love for books in them too" - Elaine Parry
