Aqua, Gold, and Hyacinth Foglio by David Patchen. Masterful and breathtaking, this blown glass vessel is created using the technically demanding murrini technique. Patchen creates dozens of patterned glass tiles and composes them into a mosaic, fuses them, and begins the blowing process. He switches the hot glass piece from one blow pipe to another to create the flower-like patterns. Flattened profile. Double-encased in clear glass for depth and stability.
