Omar Bradley

Omar Bradley was born on February in Clark, Missouri. In he graduated from West Point. He commanded all US troops in the Normandy Invasion. In he was named the first chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Natalya Fyodorovna Meklin née Kravtsova (1922-2005), a much decorated WWII combat pilot in one of the 3 women-only Soviet air regiments. She flew 980 night missions by the end of the war. After she graduated from the Military Institute of Foreign Languages  as a translator until retiring. Among her many awards was the title Hero of the Soviet Union, the highest distinction in the Soviet Union, awarded personally or collectively for heroic feats in service to the Soviet state and society.

"Katya Budanova (Катя Буданова), was a fighter pilot in the Soviet Air Force during World War II. With 11 air victories, she was one of the world's two female fighter aces along with Lydia Litvyak." She chose fighter ace over fashion model, apparently.

Dwight D. Eisenhower

Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower had previously been a five-star general in the U. Army WWII & served as Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe. In he became the first supreme commander of NATO.

Field Marshal William Slim, or more colloquially, ‘Uncle Bill’. One of the great military leaders in the vast annals of Britain’s military history, William Slim served in both World Wars. During the latter, his leadership of the 14th Army turned the allied situation in Burma and India from one of defeat and retreat into one of triumph, resulting in the greatest land defeat inflicted upon the Imperial Japanese Army.
