It was the east wind that brought judgment upon Egypt. The east wind blasted the thin ears. The word blasted means "to scorch or to blight." Both these meanings have to do with drought. Drought and famine are instruments used to bring judgment upon a wicked, godless nation. Right now, over 50% of the United States is in drought. What does this tell us? Judgment is near! Can food shortages and unaffordable food prices be far behind? Again, God used the east wind to bring judgment upon Egypt:

I seem to have quite a few pictures here with camels... (as a side note, and from experience. ...camels are not my preferred method of travel. lol)
