Brands Hatch 1968 The last Formula One victory by a private entrant. Jo Siffert took the RRC Walker Lotus 49B to a superb win over Ferrari's Chris Amon. They were just this close for the last third of the race. After the race a Swissair jet was kept waiting on the tarmac at Heathrow for over an hour so Siffert could make the flight- when he boarded he was given a standing ovation. Team owner Rob Walker later admitted he had bet on Amon to win.
