I loved styling this dessert table for a wonderful wedding couple getting married at The Prado at Balboa Park in San Diego. The theme was Roaring Twenties / Great Gatsby with mixed metallics (gold, silver) and black. The dessert table included cupcakes, cake pops, macarons, rock candy, cookies, all matching the theme. The cake was an exact replica of the Stanley Cup because the groom is an avid hockey fan and player. The gold sequin linen finished the glam look.
Brueghel el Viejo, Jan Bruselas, 1568 - Amberes, 1625 Country Wedding 1612. A wedding procession moves towards the church in a rural setting. The male members of both families lead the procession, headed by the groom. The flower in his hand is clearly a symbol of matrimony. The bride remains among the women. Both wear black clothing and a broad ruff collar, in keeping with early seventeenth-century style.
