A beautiful tiger moth attracted to one of the lights at our Nantucket moth blitz last summer. I was lucky enough to get a shot with the gorgeous peach and red underwing exposed, too. It's difficult to tell species apart in this genus so I'm just calling this Apantesis sp. for now.
A macro image of the back of a beetle. Chrysolina americana also known as a Rosemary Beetle. The rosemary beetle devours the leaves of rosemary, lavender, thyme, sage and some other related plants. It is 8mm long.
