How often do we mistakenly believe that standing up to an offender is showing a lack of love, when in reality, permitting license to offend is the result of unchecked offence. Those who truly care will find a way to teach by setting appropriate, protective boundaries and saying no to disrespect and deception as early in the relationship as possible, that is, as fast as we are able to learn just how to set appropriate boundaries with the offender.
Let us not take counsel from our fears. May we remember always to be of good cheer, put our faith in God, and live worthy for Him to direct us. We are each entitled to receive personal inspiration to guide us through our mortal probation. May we so live that our hearts are open at all times to the whisperings and comfort of the Spirit. —

Agency is essential to the plan of happiness. It allows for the love, sacrifice, personal growth, and experience necessary for our eternal progression. This agency also allows for all the pain and suffering we experience in mortality, even when caused by things we do not understand and the devastating evil choices of others.
