This man lives near the "Towers of Silence" in the southern IRANIAN town of Yazd. These "Towers of Silence" (or Dakhma‎) are circular, raised structure used by Zoroastrians to expose their dead...similar to the "sky burials" in Tibet. Vultures would disposed of a body in minutes. While not used in Iran since the early twentieth century, it is still commonly practiced in Tibet.
