I would have loved this as a kid ~ perhaps that's why I cook and make soap! Feed the senses! Some have more sense than others :) Fall Sensory Box - use dried green split peas as filler. You can make them "scented" with a dash of cinnamon and allspice and a few real cinnamon sticks. Silk and/or felt faux leaves, faux gourds and pumpkins, Turkey, etc.
